So…. on a deeper level,

As directed, here is more about yours truly! I was born on Manitoulin Island, raised in Whitefish River First Nation, I’ve spent a whirlwind of 28 years reconnecting to my culture, reconnecting to who I am authentically, and slowly (but surely) the pieces have fallen into what I see as a chaotic, beautiful, and creative master puzzle, which I’ve come to truly appreciate.

I’m no stranger to hardships (we’re all familiar with our own, yes?) and one thing about me today is I love to love life. I love to love living. As an artist I believe in authenticity and transparency (it’s also important to my philosophy as a photographer), in 2020 I gave birth to my first son and too shortly after he passed away. I’ve since been blessed with my wiley, second, sunny, sonshine child and I came back to photography years later with a different understanding of “fleeting moments”. In life a photo is -most times- all we have left and that is ultimately what drew me back to this field, and what has kept me in this field was the moments and memories.

Our lives are constantly moving past us, we are a go-go-go society and it's become a true passion of mine to capture the moments and memories that you wish you could hold on to just a little bit longer; the fun, the laughs, the tears, the hugs + smooches, this loved one, that loved one, and everyone/everything in between. I truly value the ability and opportunity to craft and create your experience for it to be physically kept forever through you and yours.

My work is based on witnessing the life you've created and just simply admiring through a documentary approach. My goal is to keep it true to what I see and natural, casual! However one thing about me, I will always throw in the classic, cheesy, photo! (It’s what I’d want to see in my photo albums one day, so I need to do it for you LOL!)
